Bayer Aspirin is used to treat mild-moderate pain, inflammation and fever. Bayer Aspirin is used to prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events, including heart attacks, strokes, and transient ischemic attacks. Bayer Aspirin belongs to a group of drugs called salicylates. These work by stopping the production of certain natural substances that cause fever, pain, swelling, and blood clots.

This medication comes in a caplet, tablet, enteric coated tablet, and chewable tablet form, and is usually taken 1-2 times a day with food, with a maximum of 6 times a day. Do not crush or chew the enteric coated tablets.

Common side effects of aspirin include stomach upset and bleeding.
