Mylanta Ultimate is an over the counter medication used to relieve symptoms of acid reflux, indigestion, heartburn, and a sour stomach. It is a single product containing 2 ingredients: aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide. Aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide belong to a group of drugs called antacids. Antacids work by neutralizing the acid in the stomach and help reduce symptoms of heartburn.

This medication comes in a oral (by mouth) liquid, and is usually taken 2 to 4 times a day between meals and/or at bedtime.

Common side effects of Mylanta Ultimate include constipation and abdominal cramps.
